Our offer was accepted on a HUD home May 7th. We are STILL waiting on a closing date almost 2 months later. They have had all of our info for weeks now, just waiting on the government, per our realtor. What is the deal??? Why is it taking so long? I know it’s the gov’t, but GEEZ! Anybody else going/have gone through this same thing?

Saturday, June 27th, 2009My best friend is letting her home go to foreclosure due to extenuating circumstances. She had water damage in April and the insurance company is going to pay her out this week on the damage ($6000). The repairs have not been completed and since she is letting the house go to foreclosure, she is contemplating getting the repairs done at all and pocketing the money. Are there repercussions for this? She is afraid of getting accused of insurance fraud. Should she do the minimal drywall work just to make it presentable? Will her claims impact her ability to get renter’s insurance for her new residence? Thank you for your help!
How Quickly Does The Bank Respond To A Bid On A Foreclosure Home?
Saturday, June 27th, 2009I found a home in Niagara Falls, put a bid on the home. The home has been on the market for over 2 months and I put the bid 8,900 less than the asking price. Usually how long does it take for the bank (which is out of state) to respond to the bid? If they do respond will they tell the price they will take?
I put the bid in on Aug. 7th, Should I up my price or just wait?

Friday, June 19th, 2009I dont know if im asking correctly, my niece is moving to my sister’s home which she was unable to continue paying for ( she bought the house 3 years ago). My sister already move away to another state and left the house for foreclosure or for the bank to take since she can no longer pay and told my niece that she could move in until the bank takes it away. But our question is how long until the bank takes over the house physically? since she haven’t pay for 3 months? Thanks for your answers.

Friday, June 19th, 2009So let’s say there’s 29,750 remaining on the mortgage (for a 3 bed 2.5 bath @ 545/mth). It states to talke over the existing mortgage payments. No money down. Is this too good to be true. Only pay $454 a month on a home like this until it’s paid off? Please help with explaining how to take over a foreclosure home. Thanks.
